Default 2019 RG fairing speaker choice

Running stinger amp and trying to decide between mmatta 601cx or DB Drive WDX6MOTO-G2 in a rushmore RG fairing. Opinions?

Either of the two speakers you're considering would be good choices. The DB Drives will play louder and handle more power. The MMATS have better sound quality.

That's what I was thinking wevsspot. Ordered the db's, want to hear at 70+ easier and if I was going for sound quality, I'd just stay home..lol

You would have had no problem hearing the MMATS at highway speed. Just put the 6.5's and 6x9s in my friends 15 RGS powered by a SD 800.4S and I could hear the fairing loud and clear at 90 MPH. And that was one bar from where I set the max gain.

Either will sound good. The mmats have a better SQ in my opinion. I personally have not installed or tuned the new wdx's but I have heard them....

You will be happy with them. Just remember when tuning that your crossover needs to be somewhere between 100Hz and 120Hz depending on what type of music you like to listen to. The DBs will handle all the power you care to throw at them crossed in that frequency range.

At low volume they will sound a little weak, but once you start pushing the power to them they round out nicely. I've had Kappas and Hertz Mille Pros in my Road Glide prior to giving the DBs a spin. The DB Gen2s are my favorite for pounding. The MMATS sound fantastic though. Finished an Electra Glide Ultra install with those just a few weeks ago, and I came away extremely impressed.
