Nascar, I'm dealing with Volunteer Audio also and after speaking with the tech support for a while I was told to turn off the OBD2 and the red security light will go off and my bike would start but the gauges won't work. After trying that I could not get into the disconnect menu from the module. I live in California and my main transportation is my bike because of the traffic is so bad here. I was told that Jay is working on the problem. I just removed the 14si and put back my Sony 7000 which I'v had for almost 4 years trouble free and my bike started right up.If they don't get a fix soon I'll return everything for a full refund and wait until they get this issue resolved. I really like radio but its been a pain in the rear. Fingers crossed that the fix is not to far away! My brother also has a 2014 Streetglide and said he want nothing to do with that new radio and will just keep his Boombox 6.5. until it goes out.
Looks like we will waiting a long time for this fix They still havent got the fix for the gauges to work on 2020 and up bikes yet Looks like were put on the back burner. What do you guys think ?
I think I like my Sony AX7000... That Soundstream must be really nice to put up with all this BS. FWIW I ride in the rain without problems. The only "mod" I did for that was I made a rain coat for the fairing electronics just in case.
I put this in over the weekend and the radio gauge feature doesn't work but after calling V Audio, a firmware update to the Maestro should be imminent. Not a big deal to me.
OK. A little news about this debockel. Idata has a new version 1.5. Its just a patch. What it does is delay the security so the bike will start. When you start the bike the red light in the gauge will stay lit the only way to to turn it off is to disable the gauges in the radio meaning to shut off the OB2 sensor data. I havent tested it yet to see if will throw trouble codes. I will let you know as soon as I test it. If you want to try it yourself. You'll have to call Idatalink and they will put it in your account. Then you can flash it yourself.
Dr Len is all over it guys. I called IDATA link this morning and they said they are feverishly working the issue. As with anything else the package was released without full testing. Its the same thing harley did with the boom audio in 2014 and they put out multiple software updates. Everything else in the HDHU14 si works amazing. Even integrates the passenger control for volume and changing tracks/stations. I hid the microphone in my fairing vent. Gives you the ability to us siri for directions when stopped. Overall a kick *** upgrade. Dr len thanks for all the info
