I want to use the amp as a four channel amp with the fader still working from the radio. I still need to get the input from the head unit (radio) to the amp, then yes I could run the wires as you described.
1.) you can run speaker wires from the back to the front tied into existing speaker wires in the pods to be used as inputs to the amp and then run another set from front to rear to be used as speaker wires for the new speakers.
2.) you can cut the 4 wires at the 35 pin connector (pins 1,2,24,25) and use that for inputs. the remaining wires in the harness going to the rear speakers can be used for the outputs. This would be the preferred setup.
3.) if you don't need the fader control, then use a PAC SNI-35 to adapt the front speaker wire inputs to RCA jacks, then use "Y" adapters on the RCA jacks to create 2 sets of inputs to the amp.
Yeah, I read about the 35 pin connector option. I will probably go that way. I was hoping there was another option like a plug type fix. I think I am going to try to pull those pins, make new leads with pins and run from the plug to the amp inputs, then go from the amp out put to the original leads I take out that go to the rear pods.
