2009 street glide and what I have now is this. Sony DSXS310BTX, (2)Biketronics 6.5" (fairing) A Soundstream PN4.520D. Wanting to add 6x9's and I'm thinking of facing them towards the rear wheel. I'm looking at these(2 Pioneer TS-D6902R 6x9's). Im not really looking to do the lids at this point so the question is will my AMP push all 4 speakers? Thanks
Yes it definetly will. Mounting them in the side of the bags however will only really produces bass which really isn't hearable while riding the bike from what I've read. If your looking to improve on useable sound you will need to lid mount the speakers.

that amp has PLENTY of power to accomplish what you're doing.

lid mounted speakers make no difference. The only difference i have noticed is that inside the bags facing the wheels, the pioneers seem to produce almost double the bass compared to them being mounted in the lids.

Well, When I'm on my bike going down the road at 70 mph I feel like I have surround sound. My lids make a HUGE difference.

What speakers and AMP combination are you saying is not producing?
What it all boils down to is power. Get speakers that can handle power and apply said power to them. I assure you as Gannicus stated, I hear my 6x9s perfectly fine at 80MPH. I mentioned in another thread a few days ago that I wasn't real happy with the kenwood head unit that I put in mainly because the sound quality difference was too much for me. So I decided to go back to the Sony DSX. Well as fate would have it (and before I swapped head units again), I was tinkering with something else a few days later and discovered my lack of sound quality being the damn RCAs for the rear channel (6x9s) of my rear TN4.900D were halfway unplugged. Never noticed it because it's sitting under that false bottom. Back to awesome sound once again! At 80 and Kid Rock's "All Summer Long" kicks off, you can feel the bass in your chest...
so yes they make a big difference, but power those puppies!
