Hey guys, putting together an 09 Ultra cop bike. Been trying to do it on the "inexpensive" side… Looking for a nice set of speaker pods to match the tour pak I bought. I have seen the hogtunes on ebay for around $140. Are these decent? Also a reccomendation for a nice speaker for the little woman as well. Ya know, happy wife happy life….
The Hogtunes pods are really nice. I love mine. The wife is a happy with the 5.25 inch RF speakers I have in them. I too am looking for speaker recommendations. I would prefer a 6.5 that will fit with minimal modification to the pod. What is everyone else doing?
The Polk mm651 is a 6.5 inch and drops right in. Buy from an authorized Polk dealer so warranty is good. Their a 2.7 ohm speaker so they will crank well off factory deck power and really come to life when amped. Dollar for dollar sound quality will be about impossible to beat for the price.
I would steer clear of the Polk mm series speakers personally. I had bad luck with them and unfortunetly I'm not alone. Do a search here on the forum. Jetblack is correct though they do sound good but the reliability of them has been terrible lately.

The Kicker KSC67's drop right in as well. They sound just as good as the Polks IMO. (Maybe a little better) same value for the money.

Thanks
this is about as inexpensive as it gets. I have the stock tourpak pods off my 2012 ultra if you want them for cost of shipping. Perfect shape.
