Default Amp status light question
Been awhile since I installed a system, assume this light remains on all the time, even with ignition switch off?

No, if hooked up correctly (to the acc or headlight wire), the amp should only come on when the key is turned on. If it stays on or comes on any other time, then you have your wiring hooked up wrong.

Power & ground directly to the battery, amp enable wire to "Power Control" wire on Kenwood HU. Kenwood manual states: When using the optional power amplifier, connect this wire to it's power control terminal. There was a stearing remote control wire on the HU that I did not think applied here.

Mine is on all the time. Never any trouble.

I called Mike from BT and he told me the light will stay on with the amps they sell. It will not drane the battery at all
