Zenith Bendix Accelerator Pump
The rubber on my accelerator pump on my carb on my 75 FLH was dry rotted and leaking fuel. I bought a new accelerator pump and dropped the bowl on the carb and put it in. I pumped it a few times, started the bike and let it run a minute. No leak. I started the bike up a few more times that day just to check and everything seemed fine. I turned the gas off and left it. Its been a week now and I went out today and smelt gas. I went over to the bike and its leaking out of the new accelerator pump. I am not a complete wiz on carbs, any suggestions? Could it be the float is set too high? Stupid question, but if it is how do I set the float because I never have done this before.
