Default Removing Bugs

I was wondering if anyone had any good suggestions on how to remove bugs from the engine and pipes without washing it with water.&nbsp\\; I have been using mist and spray bug removers with a towel but they are just not coming off, they are really burnt on.&nbsp\\; Does anyone have any suggestions?&nbsp\\;

Why won't you use water? It's the best way.

I do use water when I "wash" my bike\\; I am speaking in regards to detailing it, with out the hassle of washing it.

Take a damp rag or shammy and lay it on there for a couple minutes, bugs will wipe right off I also use a damp shammy on windshields, just lay it on the windshield to soften them up and wipe off this way you don't get any scratches.

I use a product from Wizards called "Mist and Shine" I use it to detail between really good cleanings, the coating it leaves makes the bugs wipe off easily, and I use it on my windshiled with no problems. Saw a guy doing just that at a bike show, bought it on site, great stuff, I think they have a web site too. It works on everything except the rubber tires, the only thing is....you have to use microfiber cloths to make it work well without streaks, other than that, it's amazing!

Soak a towel in warm water and put it over the area to be cleaned.&nbsp\\; Leave it for a couple of minutes, then wipe it clean.

Works great on the windshield too.
