RE: What do you guys use to clean your windshield?
after a long ride i soak a towel in water and let it sit on the windshield and any other bug infested areas for about an hour...the bugs will just wipe off...try to use only a clean fresh towel to wash windshield...if you have some small damage ..like small rocks that have hit the lexan...caution if you use meguiars plastx or novus #2 or #3 the only way you can burn off enough lexan for it to become invisible is to spend hours and hours rubbing by hand..if you use a machine, you may melt the plastic..you will have to be 100% ready to spend the time and wear off the top layer of lexan all the way around the exterior of winshield..if you quit before you are 100% complete the difference of what was completed and what was not will be very easy to detect.
if after all the warnings you still decide to do it, consider meguiiars plastyx...i have used it on my bike and cars multiple times
RE: What do you guys use to clean your windshield?
I was just in Home Depot in the window area where they have plexiglass and lexan, there was a bottle 1 quart size of a cleaner for lexan and other plastics made by GE, it claims to repel static and clean, the quart was only 2.99 and they had micro fiber lexan cleaning towells made by GE for 3.99 for a 3 pack. Gonna try it out.
RE: What do you guys use to clean your windshield?
for bugs a soaked wet towel for a while over the area...bugs will fall off..never scrub at the bugs or you will get tiny scratches...
plexus is real good to make shield sparkle.
