Default which to do

love my mini 8inch ape, but i want to go a little taller, 2 more inches. which do you think looks better and or is more stable for the stock riser? Should i go with riser extwenders that go inside the clamp, or one's that go under the stock riser. Or just get a taller riser...08 SG

I perfer the looks of tall bars and short risers when dealing with apes....so I guess that answers your question from my point of view. If your gonna go the riser route, Maybe it would be better to just get a new set of risers all together just for a cleaner look. That my grain of salt use it as you will.

My first ride I went with 12" apes, said the same thing as you maybe two more inches, said the same thing at 14" and 16", never did the 18" early moring deere attack got there first. I have been riding stock for 4.5 years on this bike, only because I haven't found bars that I want yet, will prob go with either 14" or 16" when I do.

Thanks, that's what i'll probably do. Don't want to keep buying bigger bars, a taller riser would be the cheaper and yes cleaner way to go. I can only go so high, have a frozen shoulder and it will only go so high, another 2 inches won't kill me but anything higher would get painful.
