Put my new air cleaner on last night and began tackling the passenger peg mounts.
The pipe side looks wicked easy. But the belt side needs some work. I've skimmed over some posts here and I see that it CAN be done without moving the wheel and belt.
I didn't notice if the bolts were hex or torx. Any idea offhand? I need to get these damn things on for the old lady lol.
One more question, I bought new pegs from Harley, but read in another post that they don't come with the bolts to attach it to the peg mount. True??
Thanks all.
Gonna try to tackle it after work today or tomorrow.

I pulled the wheel to get the belt side on. Belt was in the way. I guess you could do it with a universal drive but its hard to get good torque on it.
Got this done the other day. It's a T45 or a T47 for the 2 main bolts going into the swingarm, I forget.
My regular socket with the 3/8 ratchet was too tall to clear the belt, without moving the wheel forward. I did find a smaller, cheap socket from Oreilly's auto parts and that fit perfectly under the belt and I was able to crack both bolts without having to heat up the bolts at all.
The swivel adapter does come in handy because the ratchet comes close to the frame on both sides. It's definitely necessary for the pipe side for the front bolt and I just had to push the rear fender in a bit to get the back bolt in.
Overall, not a huge deal. I was just expecting to have a bitch of a time cracking the bolts loose.
If you have a bike lift, the easiest way is to unbolt the shocks and the bottom and let the wheel fall, will give you room. We just put new mounts on my buddies 2015 SB.
I just took of my passenger pegs yesterday, pretty straightforward job. If you are interested in selling the beltgaurd mount let me know I need to get one asap now.
