Before you suggest that I sell my bike I suggest you readthe name of the topic ,"helmet buffeting", before you make a stupid statement.
Helmet buffeting is different than just wind in your face.
Riding with a shield can causehelmet buffeting at certain speeds whereby your head/helmet gets bouncedaround due to unpredictable strong windturbulence coming from underneath.
It hits your face about every 1 or 2 seconds. If severe enough itlifts your helmet and gets under your glasses.
Some riders with contacts complained of blurred visiondue to the strong wind.

On my sportster, I attached some Chrome wind deflectors to my windsheild.I had to modify them a little..trim off the top hole and drill a new mounting hole...Stopped alot of wind from coming up from below..Looked good too.. I plan on doing the same for the sheild I plan on buying for my FXDWG..But I do not know how the extra rake is gonna effect the deflectors yet ..but I'll find out

I never had a problem with buffeting when I used my windshield. Recently I removed my fork bag and the buffeting was bad. I put it back - noproblem.
