If you put your axle in the other direction, you don't have to worry about not being able to pull it out with your exhaust pipe blocking it.

That will work for a lot of bikes but the clearance between my Fat Cat exhaust and axle bolt is pretty tight as is, with the nut/washer/protruding axle on the exhaust side I think it would hit my muffler. This could help others for sure, thanks!

For the 5 inner primary bolts I use the NC 5/16" - 18 tap. Really recommend buying a kit because there are many more taps and dies needed. What are you up to anyway, inquiring minds want to know!

Good luck man! Interested to hear if your primary gets noisier after your install. I still can't figure out if there's something wrong with my clutch or if it's just the nature of the beast. I'm gong to start running 18-20oz in the primary, I've been running 16oz of bel Rey 80w and it just makes me nervous, there was already a little wear on the baker comp. are you going to use the baker adjuster? Make sure you clean the hell out of the threads in the crank and red loctite that comp bolt! I had mine come loose. I took the stock comp bolt and cut 4 grooves in it to kind of use it like a chase. A standard chase won't get deep enough in there. Blast the threads with degreaser and blow it out with air

Hey monster, I was hoping you would check in! The Baker comp has been taking some hits over at HTT in particular Steve from GMR(my tuner). He has pulled one off a customer and felt like the motor extension shaft was showing a lack of oiling. Also there has been issues with the spring pack on some very high hp builds. I have the "B" version of the comp and the "C" version is the newest and has an updated motor shaft extension and spring pack....planning on calling Baker tomorrow and see what I should do.

I know one thing, sure don't like the idea of grinding down the oiling tray on the inside of my outer primary cover if the Baker is not going to work.

I purchased the tap recommended by Baker to clean out the internal crank threads, have not used it yet but here is a pic:

Installed a new oil seal on top of my inner primary bearing. Probably did not need to but a new seal came with my HD gasket kit and this is the 4th time I have pulled the inner primary so maybe a good idea after all. Here is the new oil seal, never realized how small the garter spring was:

Used a Lisle Seal Puller(56650) to extract the seal - easy peasy. Can ya'll believe this tool is made in the USA?!? Not expensive either, can't remember but around $10 I think:

To install the oil seal I used my new Bearing Race and Seal Installer kit. I could have used something else but I needed this kit for the clutch bearing anyway:

Used the same Red Line Assembly Lube from my engine build around the OD of the oil seal. I started the seal with my fingers then used an oversized driver from the kit to get the seal flush with the inner primary bore then I found another driver that was able to press the OD of the seal but was smaller than the bore and installed the oil seal against the bearing:

Got everything prepped to reinstall the inner primary: new starter o-ring with a little white lithium grease, tape over the transmission shaft to protect the new oil seal, washer and new snap ring on shifter shaft, shifter linkage reinstalled with some lithium grease on the shaft that runs through the primary, new tower gasket, all thread holes cleaned including the 2 starter thread holes on the back of the inner primary:

Installed the inner primary with 5 new HD fasteners that you cannot reuse, torqued at 26-28 ft lbs in sequence as per the HD SM. Now the plate is set for all the new upgraded parts minus the belt that is already on:
