Ok,probably too early know but i'm going to ask..How are you feeling about that compensator you put in? I just hope for your sake (and soon mine) that they put their best foot forward before putting em out there. I mean lets face it it's still a "Frankenstein" by nature but is it working? Or is it just the best combo i.e.The latest SE comp, compusave and then some form of chain adjuster? Maybe I just answered my own question? What a PITA! Hahaha!

Hey HrdNox, yeah a bit early for me to properly evaluate the Baker comp. I probably have about 500 - 600 miles on it and have had no issues but need many more miles and then I need to open up the primary and pull it out.
All I can really say is I think Baker and their employees are a class act - products seem well thought out and they always try to keep improving everything they do. I had to get my sproket retainer milled down to get the alignment right and Baker did this for me fast and for free. I think their requirement for alignment on the comp sproket and clutch basket is just another indication of their attention to detail.
I know they had some issues with the company that used to make the spring washers but I am pretty sure that if anybody who bought a comp and needed the new springs for a high hp build - Baker would take care of them.
Hey HD Pilot, I am getting ready to change my clutch pads out for the Barnett Carbon Fiber ones with the extra plate, can't afford the whole clutch work like you got and I have no plans to bump the engine anymore then maybe with cams. I am also going to be installing the Baker Comp, now that you have been running yours for some time, can you provide any feed back on it?

I really have not put enough miles on the Baker yet to say much about it's durability or how well it stays oiled with those little oil scoops designed into it. I can say that based on the Instructions and the quality of the parts that I was impressed. Baker does their homework and backs their products - I had to get my compensator motor extension shaft milled down to meet Baker's install specs and they did it for me quickly and for free.
I used to run the Alto Carbonite +1 clutch kit and it worked fine for preventing slip but the smooth shifting and easy clutch lever pull of the Bandit Sportsman is tough to beat.
