i know when i do my oil changes i straighten bike up occasionally to allow all oil to run out, but the bulk comes out when on jiffy stand
Yeah, just figured that the plug for the crank case is on the upward side vs the oil drain plug on the downward side. I may check again with bike upright before pulling the exhaust and opening the cam chest again.
Robby, what's that Cragar attached to in the background?
Lol I'm such a dufus I had to look up what Cragar was! It's attached to our fancy Yamaha golf cart. When we moved here we were so amazed at the chaos of school drop off and pick up that we decided to get a golf cart (plus we play) to pick the kid up with vs. waiting half an hour in a line of cars. Black with green pin striping it's a beaut but I can't wait to start modding it!

That's funny man That's cool though, yeah, you gotta soup it up
So I ran the bike for no more than 10 minutes to get to operating temps and pulled the case plug again this time with the bike straight up and pulled about 9oz of oil out. Not sure if it makes any difference but this was with no riding between the last check simply running the engine for 10 min.
I assume it's safe to say that one way or another the bike is Sumping. So back in I go. Picked up another set of cam chest o rings and gasket although I now realize I didn't get new exhaust gaskets (sucks since they were just replaced). No lifter magnets so lifters will have to come out too. I'll be a freaking push rod expert by the end of this.
I've never removed the oil pump from the cam plate before, what am I looking for to be the cause of my problem? O rings torn or mispositioned, what else?
Going to tear my bike apart this weekend, hope everything will went fine...
My bike have 10500kms, is it worth swapping the valve stem seal ? I do have have them in my Cometic kit, but think it may not be needed... Well, the heads will be off so guess it's safer to do them... (thinking loud)
