I couldn't wait to trade in my 2014 Streetglide for a real bike! heavy POS - i have owned baggers , softtail, FXR, and buells.

if they made an FXR i would buy one, wish i never sold mine. so next best thing is a Dyna.

I wish I had the funds for a bagger. I could build one bitchin Dyna!

Right now if you look at the custom scene (new bikes, not vintage) there are two trends, the big-wheel bagger and the "performance" Dyna. The whole SOA fad has pushed the popularity of the performance/thug/club look, so there has been a huge growth in suspension and brake upgrades for the Dynas, and even the MoCo has taken notice, hence the LowRider S that looks like it could have rolled off the SOA set.

So, chances are you aren't seeing them because the dealerships can't keep them.
THIS!

I came from a MX - sport bike background. When I was researching my next bike, I never even looked HDs way. Then someone suggested I take a look at the Club Style Dynas and I did. I even watched the TV show. I got hooked. It was something new (to me) and was interesting exploring different mods that I could do, as I love to tinker with my bikes. Now, I have a lot more options. There is a large group of former MXers and sport riders that are getting a little older coming into this style.

I'm hooked on Dynas. I've already started thinking about another bike, right now it will be a WG or a FB, but I haven't made up my mind. One thing I do know is that it will be a Dyna. The rolling couches never interested me and still don't.

I personally find the dressed up baggers and geezer glides to be repulsive but, I'm the same jerk that prefers to ride a 1200 unless im going far(250mi+).

Raw, no unnecessary bulls***.

^Nice Sportster, cvaria^

My wife refers to geezer glides as pirate ships.

Depends on where you live really. Here in SoCal, dealers can't seem to keep them in stock. Definitely an overflow of used Irons though....

Can't say any of the new bikes really get me excited anyway. Even the LR-S was rather underwhelming in person...I'd rather take an older bike and make it what I want without having to worry about voiding that pesky warranty...lol

Too funny, LOL! Sounds like you want a Street Glide because you've been scammed into thinking that it's a statement of wealth. Hello, I can write a check for 40 Streetglides, but it just so happens that my wife and I actually prefer our minimalist bikes, and don't give a chit about wealth-posing.

One night, we had the smallest tent in the campground, because that's what would roll up in a handlebar-mounted sleeping bag. Folks in the fancy pusher-diesel motorhomes thought the whole thing was really cool.

I'm with this...reading the thread got me wondering about it. Over here on the east side you mostly see (at least I do) Baggers, maybe a few Heritages and Road Kings. Along the way where I live and ride, I've seen the BMW styled Euro touring bike from Canada that looks like the guy/gal used a step stool to get on it; I've never seen a Dyna other than my own. Looking at most of the nice bikes on the forums, either clubbed out or otherwise are "mostly" from out west. Of course you get the blending in between the two coasts.

agreed!

i hate cliche irons (especially with super original short shots and stupid skulls) and the electronic controls higher-end bikes are horrifying.

they aren't expensive.
http://www.ebay.com/sch/i.html?_from...glide&_sacat=0

buying new doesn't seem to be wise, to me... especially after my experience with the bull**** "factory custom" aka worthless accessory shopping cart.

a better question is, why does the wide glide cost more than the streetbob? (fat bob for good measure)
