So, I sold my Sportster so I can try to get a bigger bike that will be a little more comfortable for some long weekend trips and a little better suited to some 2-up riding with the wife on the back with me. I'm hoping to get on a Dyna or Softail. I've got a couple of Dyna's on my radar but don't know much about either model, so I'd appreciate any advice on what to look out for, any common problems with either model, reliability, ride quality, etc. Asking price for both bikes is the same and both bikes have about 20k miles...
98 Low Rider:
I like the look of this bike. Upgraded seat, exhaust, bars, etc. and it has a sissybar/backrest and some saddlebags with it. Pretty much ready to ride as it is. I guess this one has the 80" Evo engine which it seems some like for simplicity and reliability, right?
05 Super Glide Custom:
Good looking bike but pretty much stock and I would want a sissy bar, saddlebags and different bars/risers setup than what it has now. It's newer and has fuel injection which I like. This bike has the 88" twin cam motor.
Any MAJOR differences in ride quality, maintenance, reliability, etc.? Thanks
Normally I would say go with the newer SG but my understanding is the 04-05 Dyna line had a different frame for those two years only making aftermarket and factory parts more difficult to obtain.
