I'm fishing for some informations / opinions on exhausts line.
I'm gonna change the cams on my 2012 Street Bob next week 96ci (Going with the Feuling 574 Reaper Cams and their HP+ adjustable pushrods) As well as swapping my Vance and Hines air cleaner for the round K&N high flow for V-Twins.
I'm currently running the Short Shots and I am gonna go with 2-in-1 and my heart is torn between these choices :
-Thunder headers
-Vance and Hines 2-in-1 competition series
-Bassani Road Rage 2
-Trashin Supply
At this point I'm really lost and I already dropped majors $ on the HOG so I can't afford to pick the wrong set haha I would love some feedback from those who tried those pipes, with the pros and cons.
I'm thinking performance first.
Gonna get it Dyno'd as soon as I'm finished wrenching so I need to pull the trigger for the pipes very soon.
Thanks in advance for all your advices! Looking forward to read your experiences.
Have you considered the new Fuel Moto 2:1 for dyna's? Comes with bungs for both 12mm and 18mm O2 sensors (not sure what size your bike had). It's immensely tune-able
The 2012 Dyna has 12MM O2 sensors. I would make sure your new system has dedicated 12MM bungs for the O2 sensors and not 18MM bungs that need a bushing to fit the 12MM sensors.
The sensors should have a good reach into the exhaust flow if you continue to use them.
I've done a lot of looking and recently ordered a Magnaflow Riot 2 into 1 for my 2012 Dyna Super Glide. They have genuine 12MM bungs and the system looks to be of great quality.
I use slip ons but the two most talked about, performance wise, are the Thunderheader and the D&D FatCat 2 into 1. I've thought about the V&H pipes myself. Sorry, not much help.
I hope you realized that the intake closing is 45* on the 574 cam with out the compression addressed that is going to be very sluggish in the lower power band.
