Default Any Problems with the 103 or 110 engines?

I'm looking to buy either a 2016 Fat Bob or a Low Rider S.

They have different engines, but the bikes have similar prices. I like them both.

Any opinions about either bike?

The next Dyna I buy will be LR-S. IMO it's not even close to another Dyna.

honestly, I went with the standard LR with the 103HO. Not sure what actual power difference is between it and the LRS but the butt-dyno hardly showed any difference. Only got 500 miles on the break-in so can't say much about problems but seems solid to me.

They drink gas..., they're loud..., obnoxious..., in your face - vibrate worse than an old washer... and gov (epa) wants to ban em

What the hell's not to love

Best rule of thumb with regards to cars..., boats...., bikes & planes

Bigger motor is always better - especially so when all else is equal

I've had an LRS a couple weeks now. It's a blast.

I had s 15 street bob and loved the 103. I put 16,xxx miles on it and my front rocker box started leaking, but it was under warranty. I honestly didn't even notice til I traded it in for the low rider s so they fixed it when I traded my bike in. I love my lowrider s cause it's such a similar bike only it has more features and it's a hell of a lot faster. I think the lowrider s is very uncomfortable from the factory, but forward controls and 16 inch ape hangers make it perfect. Only have 1000 miles on it so I dunno about problems but the only difference to me is the 110 is a lot hotter (or maybe it's just in my head). Lowrider s all day. That being said, I hate the gold wheels. Nothing a little powder coat can't fix.

The regular 103 is kind of a dog. 103HO is a much nicer version of the same motor. Personally if it was me I'd probably get a regular low rider. Most of the upgrades on the S are things I'd change/personalize/upgrade on my own anyways with non-HD parts. The option for a 117 with the S is very nice though. If you aren't considering doing that then the regular low rider is the way to go.

HO has cams, SE intake and some other small things. It puts our 83 hp and 95 tq out of the box.
