Default 2002 fxd dual disc upgrade

Looking to upgrade my 2002 fxd domdual disc brakes.

What right side lower fork leg would work?

Im getting conflicting answers including, sportsters, fxdx, and fxdp. Keep in mind that the fxd is not set up for adjustable suspension. So what's my best bet here?

45922-00 is one option I've found from a 2001 fxdp

whats the best route?

Also is it better to just buy a complete front end for a Fx dx? Will that fit onto my fxd and then also give me adjustable suspension and 2 over on the front end?

Or or should I keep my stock tubes, upgrade the breaks, and just upgrade to a non-adjustable racetech internal kit for a little under $300?

Thoughts?

Appreciate the feedback. I'm new here. Go easy on me. Lol

God bless!

I would have thought FXDL would work, provided it is from a 39mm twin disc set up.

The gas inserts are just amazing and the 4-pot brakes not too bad.

I have Nissin calipers form a 1994 Fireblade Honda with fully-floating 330mm rotors, never have used more than 2 fingers on the brake lever!

If I were you I'd buy the FXDX-T front fork legs from Boardtracker Harley, they're still available. You'll be able to use your jiffy stand if you don't upgrade the rear suspension. However, if you do the rear with the FXDX 13.3" or aftermarket 13.5" shocks you'll need the FXDX-T jiffy stand.

46119-00 Right Side $435.00

46118-00Left Side $435.00

For 870.00 bucks you can have a 3 way adjustable cartridge fork set up, that's pretty darn good. I wouldn't throw more than cost of fluid in damper rod forks. Get an Ebay caliper and duel lines (I'd order stock ones) and you're good to go. If you're gonna spend money, spend enough to make a difference.

Beyond that suggestion there is this thread:
