of trading my 2014 FXDC for Street Glide after the Steel Toe tour, BUT gonna replace 18yr old outside/inside HVAC Heat pump. gonna be about 10-13k. So my question is What the best quick release windshield for my bike. Nothing wrong W/my bike low miles .Just thinking maybe more comfortable at times W/out wind beating me. Came from CBR954RR several yrs back, wind wasn't an issue on long rides, Thanks

Check out Memphis Shades They have a whole bunch of different styles, sizes and colours, most/all of which can be quick-released (though unlike the HD QR shield, they do leave four little aluminium 'buttons' on the upper fork legs).
Great quality etc. I have a Memphis Shade 'Slim', which is a medium-sized old-style screen. Good for touring etc. Doesn't look too big on a Dyna, but not to everyone's taste. I only use it when I'm loading up for a few days minimum on the road.
But they've got many models bigger/smaller and more modern-style etc than that.
I have the Harley quick detach compact on my 2013 FXDC. Was quite expensive and there may be more affordable options that are also quick detach. My son has the same set up but got the larger (taller) version and now I wish I had also.
I have the 14” HD Compact Windshield #58348-06. $379.00
I started with the 18” but returned it because I like to look over the windshield, not through it. I can easily adjust the height up and down on the fork tubes. I also bought a leather HD Windshield bag that holds my phone, EZ Pass, etc. I like this Windshield as it keeps the wind off my chest on long runs.
I've tried them all and gravitate back to very small or nothing at all. The buffeting a QD windshield creates on a Dyna just about mandates some sort of fork deflector. Even the HD quarter fairing creates some pretty poor head/helmet aerodynamics. What I have on there now is a National Cycle Fly Screen that works better than all of them as far as I'm concerned.
Naw, I'm kidding. It's just for the time of day. I lead rides every now and again so I use it make sure I don't run anybody too long between breaks. Or should I say "brakes"
