There is nothing that compares to the way the rubber mounted Dyna shakes at idle and smooths out once you get going. It is the pure Harley experience.

I think they are both awesome bikes... just depends which bike fits your needs. I bought my bike for one reason. it fit my needs. looks,hi bars, etc. and a lot of bang for the buck .

The Dyna handles and rides better. I love the "A" motor and despise the "B" motor. It would be the Wide Glide for me, hands down.

I love my Wide Glide - I see softies everywhere, but Wide Glides don't seem as plentiful...I love the shake at idle - gives it personality

This spring I went to my HD dealer to buy an 06 wideglide I saw on the floor two weeks prior(couldn't believe they had a holdover, small dealership) but they had sold it. The only other bike that I liked was the softail duece. I must of spent an hour sitting on and and walking around this bike but there were three things I didn't care for. The solid disc rear wheel, shotgun pipes vs staggerd and the honkin big Suzuki Intruder looking seat. SORRY ALL YOU SOFTAIL OWNERS. However, the all-chrome forks, 200 mm rear tire and that drop dead gorgeous stretched tank was very, very tempting. I ended up calling the dealer a week later and asked him to find me a Wideglide which he picked up for me at a dealer 350 miles south. I am very pleased with it after comming from a sporty. I regret not ever having driving a softail in fairness to those who own them. Like every one says, buy what works for you. Good luck.
