borrow your girlfriends or wife's hair dryer and heat the part for a short time. it will loosen the adhesive, makes it easy to remove.

It was a real bitch to get them off my tank, not at all like thereflectors on the forks. Theycame off easy with a little heat. The glue holding theH-D scripton the tank is some heavy duty ****. I think I tried just about everything (solvent based) I could think of after the heat didn't help. My patience payed off though, they are now free of that..........looking script and with no scratches. Never satistied, acustom tank is in the works[sm=confused06.gif]

Used a hot air gun and fishing line.. off in 2 minutes
Replaced with 61-62 FLH "star" design.. looks the muttz nutz

Anyone remove the tank badge on an 07 WG? I want to, but I am not sure how it will look with the ghost flames that seem to wrap around the tank badge that is on there now. I need to see how it looks with no badge. Worse case scenario, I will have to replace is with a different badge.
