Default Custom Cycle Engineering rear motor mount?

Replaced my rear motor mount on my "98 Dyna with a standard stock style one last winter. It collapsed this past weekend with all of 1100 miles on it. Not too happy. Options seem to be limited for upgrade mounts older Dynas but I saw one from Custom Cycle Engineering that looked promising although expensive. Anyone here using one of these? Opinions? Thanks!

I have a 2012 and was looking at these as well. I don’t have one but like you was interested....

CCE seem to be stand up guys, bought stuff from them before and it was excellent so would think these should be good, but they are on the high end price wise

Ive used CCE fork tubes a few times and some other stuff and all was high quality so Im going to give it a try. Expensive yes, but I only got 1100 miles from a stock type mount. Got a Predator on the front and Im real happy with it.

Update on CCE rear motor mount. Its a nicely made heavy duty piece, much more beefy than the stock mount. Ill try to post some pictures later but this motor mount id a lot bigger than stock, though Id have trouble fitting it up in there but it fit fine. Had to grind a little off the top of the mount due to interference with some casting irregularities where the mount bolts to the transmission case. With that done, I got the CCE mount bolted in place. Had to loosen my Predator front mount to help line up the rear mount and when I went to reattach the Predator, I could not get the hardware to line up because the new rear mount makes the engine sit about 1/4" to 3/8" forward in the frame. Not too happy about this expensive mount. Since I had to grind on it I cant send it back but I am determined to make it work. My plan is to take it to the machinist at work and have him shave off a 1/4" off the flange where it mounts to the frame, in effect moving the mount (and engine) towards the rear. We've got a ride/camping trip coming up next week so in mean time I got another stock type mount mount to use untill I make this CCE mount work.
I will report back once I modify this mount.

Thanks for the update. I've been curious about this mount for a while. I also have a Predator... Could you take a bunch of detailed pics of it before and after installation? Assuming you get it to work, of course. I'm especially curious exactly how it's designed and how it improves upon the OE design. The CCE site is less than informative.

Heres a few pix before I installed it and a couple with a stock style mount.

For some reason these last two pictures are upside down.

The two rubber bushings seem to be similar to handle bar riser bushings mounted horizontally.

Thanks!
Is it all steel? (ie, heavier than stock?)(I'm a bit weight obsessed)
Do you get an impression that horizontal motion is limited somehow?
