Happy Friday to everyone, now into it. After stalking some handlebars in the 8-14" rise family, for the larger end of the spectrum I'd want to switch out stock risers for something shorter in order to fit some LA Choppers Nice Curves bars for example, and go down to say 2-4" riders from the 6' stock risers.
1) what are some good sources to find new aftermarket?
2) Are all dyna risers the same or anything special I need to look out for with a Fat Bob?
Sitting where I am now stock, 6" risers and 12" mini apes would put me at 18", so that's the ballpark I'm playing against right now
I got a set of 4" pullback risers from a group on FB, I think, but was starting to wonder if I might need something a little taller, like 6". Are yours straight or pullback?
If they're pullback, I might be willing to trade. Considering changing from my 10-12" baby apes, and since my last bike had 5.5" pullback risers with a drag bar, and they fit me perfectly, considering going to about the same/similar height.
Yip, partially answers your second question though. I'm also going to be doing something similar with very low risers and a taller set of bars next. For now what I did was 2" extensions. A set from I believe LA Choppers was ordered for me because they have a cup in the top, and that looked like it would match the flare in the bottom of my risers, but it didn't. I had that lip (which made the cup) machined off and used them like that.
I got 3 inch ones on 14 inch bars. Got'em from Amazon.
Did you happen to go with OEM street bob lines? I've read they do the trick for 12' apes with stock risers, so that's 6"+12" = 18" ballpark; so 3"+14"-17" same neighborhood~
Not sure about the lines, but that sounds about right U went with 12 inch bars first wanted more so I bought 14 inch bars. Liked then, wanted more si i went from a 1 inch riser ti a 3 inch riser
And now i want .. More...
But biw i will have to switch lines with the next bar swap, so it's going to be a while..
