An irrelevant detail maybe, but every time I look at the product picture I wonder why they chose to show three nylock nuts instead of four. I'm sure they send four, but I always assume attention to detail is fairly consistent through all aspects of an organization, so...

I noticed that too. Each time I think about ordering, I keep talking myself out of it due to little stuff like that. If the price were around $90-100, I'd go for it.

3 nuts is correct. 2 for the top bolts and 1 for the left hand bottom bolt. The right hand bottom bolt threads into the swingarm.
I was thinking of machining the studs out of the factory top mount and replacing them with DE 12 pts with recessed head washers.

Interesting, thanks for the clarification! That's NOT how it works on my FXDX. Studs on top, bolts on the bottom (each with a nut).

Seen them before and dig them, but there's just no way I can spend that kinda money for them.....over priced.....just my .02

I just swapped in ARP hardware and had the stock mounts ceramic coated.
