DIY coil relocation question..
Thats awesome. Looks good. I always love seeing what people can do themselves. Theres not enough of that in the world these days and its a shame.
I am planning on doing something similar, but I am planning on making the bracket to attach to the frame motor mount, so the coil is not vibrating with the motor. I know The coil can survive the vibrations, but....
You pased the MUD check.

Under the tank?
Now the simple, quick, easy no tool other than what you need to take off your seat and something to clip a zip-tie is reroute the fuel line.
For the many whose were like mine have the vapor drain line hanging down below the frame, it's atrocious, and, so fixable.
The warmer in your garage the better, I did mine much cooler than now but the heat will allow you to even easier pull out the fuel line and reinsert it along the harness line in the upmost part of the frame where the seat pan meets the fram.
The line is most likely routed below the middle bolt that holds the EC to the frame, the line has a bend in it that plunges down and gets held in place in a little plastic "U" shaped thing that holds it there.
Remove any ties that hold the line in place back to from where it comes from that you can see, may not be any.
The line is actually quite pliable but take care not to kink it, pull it out from where it disappears behind the EC and then stick in the above mentioned hole that will have it coming into the underseat space but above the EC mount bole.
The fuel line knows where to go, it's going to want to go back exactly like it was, it will plunge down correctly and go right back in that thing-thing at the bottom.
And then run a little zip-tie around the fuel line and that little wire harness to keep it all hidden and out of the way.
If it were any easier a Caveman on a tourer could figure it out
And i did order the plug wires from DK, I have no problem with the company.
Got some replacement bolts for the original location as well to cover the brass fittings.
Edit: I used a chop saw blade to make my bracket.. figured it would be plenty sturdy haha
Nice work! We are all about DIY, that is how we started! Many of the parts we make can be done by DIY'ers in their garage.
We make them for those that don't want to take the time, or don't have the tools to do it themselves.
Glad to see you like our patented design. We do not mind individuals using our designs, just don't like to see businesses copying our patented designs.
For those that would like a 15 minute coil relo install, with a lifetime warranty, you can see them HERE.
Again, really nice work Yates91. Seems like the chop saw blade donor metal will be strong enough, time will tell. Looking good!
