Intake leak
Just enjoying the weather right now and getting as much seat time as possible..
However I'm thinking about riding down to FLA next week for a few days, so that will be my ultimate decision to dig deeper.

I've read a lot of good replies about your temp. issue with your bike and would like to add another approach. It's about starting with the basics, if the bike was running fine what changed or happen prior to this? Texas ScooterTrash was on the money with the intake leaks, good place to start, if I may try something like wd40 w/the tube on the nozzle carefully spraying a little bit on the intake gaskets, if there is a leak the idle will change, I have also used starting fluid while being careful so it doesn't get out to the front of the carb. by spraying to much. Other variables could be your last gas fill it could have been from the bottom of the stations tank or something like that. A little bit of rust or fine dirt could restrict the gas flow creating a coff, take of the bowl, take a look for varnish and any foreign particles. Take a look in the carb to see if the accelerator pump is squirting, if so-so take of the plate to see if the area is clean, the fuel gets pushed up with enough force to clog that flow of fuel, I've found that a couple of times. You could use air or even the same WD tube to see if it's coming out with force inside the carb. I doubt you would find any but take a small expandable magnet rod, poak around in the tank and hopefully it will come out free of anything. Myself if I go swapping out things and messing with more than one thing at a time I've ended up with confussion. Stick to the basics and "Keep it simple". Much success my friend!
