Only thing I see on Facebook Dyna groups is lots of club bikes, mostly all looking the same (quarter fairing, t-bars, V&H shortshots or Thunderheader pipes, black paint, etc.).
I have 2 new shoulders, a knee and a blown back. I changed the low bars to 12" apes when I bought it to get my arms up a bit. I recently added the fairing to help with the terrible wind on the South Texas coast and also swapped to some Tbars so that they would be behind the fairing more, and made my shoulders more comfortable. I'm NOT "club/thug", but I'm very comfortable! I blacked out my chrome due to rust.....🤭

There is always the rivalry of different era Wide Glide owners, those of us with the older models think the new WG should have been named something else, and those from the EVO era think the same of the FXD bikes, but the Wide Glide is the best of the breed in my opinion, of course I do have a soft spot for Low Riders too having owned a couple of them as well.
That's a sick looking WG! What's that front end you have on there?
It's gotta be one of the best looking Dynas, along with the Street Bob and Low Rider, but it's not for everyone. I was so impressed by the test ride that I bought one last summer on a whim. Then I hated it. Then I liked it. Then I put up for sale. Then I started buying parts for it. Now I'm riding it. What is weird is the 2010+ generation with the low bars and chopped fender. The classic Wide Glide is the best looking Harley ever I think but the newer one is definitely unique. Very hard to find parts and add-ons for it. I'm wishing hard for some beautiful apes, windshield, and floorboards but that's a few grand I don't want to spend. Over all it's a sweet ride and has great power but I wouldn't do it again. If it's the original Dyna or FX wide glide then yeah, but not the newer one. Here's mine --
I know what you mean. I love the old wide glide look (personal taste). I just bought a 2010. Stock with a lowering kit. put back to stock height, 16" FBI ape hangers and I found a color matched 2008 Fat Bob rear fender (close enough) and I am replacing the blinker/tail lights with one brake light (integrated blinkers) and my license plate on the fender. Growing up I always loved the look of the old Wide Glides and now with some time and hard earned money I am making it my own.
Wide Glides aren't for everyone....nor are FatBobs, Street Glides, Road Kings or any other model. If we all rode the same model Harley how effing boring it would be.

Haha, this is so right! But as I'm watching Sturgis videos vicariously, I can't help but notice nearly everything there is a bagger or softail. No one rides Dynas or Sportster to Sturgis, apparently. I know they aren't "in style" currently, but I'm sick of seeing baggers everywhere. Borrrrrring!
I live there. It's a lot easier to find my wide glide with Apes in the parking lot. I look around and there are numerous people looking for their street or road glide. They are very trendy as they always have been but more so now than ever. Nothing wrong with them but there are quite a few out there.
