Dyna's Misunderstood
The guy owns an iron head sporty.
I'm ridin so it's all good.
I saw a Nitetrain traded in at a Honda shop and it was advertised as a Street Bob! LOL.
Retail for that bike is $15,895... that's not really a screamin' deal after all. If it was a great deal I was going to tell you to get your rear end down there and scoop it up for resale!

I guess the thing is.............. I really like the choice I made with the Dyna. I love Sportsters and really thought that is what I wanted when I bought my bike, but everyone talked me out of it, so I settled for a Dyna (looks like a big Sportster).
Whatever I got had to be black, and that is the only color bike I ever intend on owning. It also had to have shocks on the back I could see.
I like looking at other folks bikes and am glad none of them are the same as mine. I have looked at thousands, and admired so many things people have done to change theirs.
It is kinda like the whole "black engine" thing. I love my "blonde" motor, but some days I think I may prefer black.
When I am with just my bike, it is very beautiful to look at and reminds me I chose it over all the others (less and more expensive).
I do have ocassion for folks to ask why I didn't get a WideGlide........... I think WGs are beautiful, but I prefer the narrower forks and don't particularly care for a 21" wheel, nor do I want spokes on my ride, but I like them on other peoples bikes.
The only major thing I would ever change on my SG would be to put a BadBoy springer front end on it like one of the forum members did.
Didn't intend on going on, but just enjoy your Dyna. It holds a very special place in the Harley line of motocycles, and anybody that puts a Dyna down is just stupid, or yanking yer chain.
Ride safe, loud, and fast.

Was in the Harley shop looking for stuff for the Sporty when I say this lean looking bike, like a Sporty, with the 96 and 6 speed. I feel for it right away and ended up riding her home that night. I have NEVER looked back or second guessed. I could have bought any bikeup to the Soft tail Heritage Classic and I got just the bike I wanted. I still want it. It and I will grow old together.
I did add the quick disconnect windshield and am adding the quick disconnect saddle bags and touring trunk for longer rides with the wifey who can now ride quite comfortably with me.
Added Rush pipes, SE AC, and PC III and am happy.
Hey, let them put us down, who cares. What they don't know is the reason we grin so often.

Oh and Doug if you are ever near Kennesaw lets ride a bit.
You know, it pisses me off,...... i love bikes, riding, had Kawasaki, Honda, Blah, Blah, Blah, about 10 years ago i bought an 883 Sportster Hugger, i loved that bike, i souped it up to the ****, it was awesome. Many other Harley guys knock a Sportster, i couldn't give a ****. I only got rid of it because i wanted a bigger bike. Now today, i'm fortunate enough that i can buy any bike that i want , ANY! Get IT ! So i bought the StreetBob because that's the bike i like. I ride when i can , with Harley owners, friends who may ride Kawasaki's, but whatever, don't get me wrong , i'm a Harley Guy, but Sporty, Dyna, Softail, Baggers whatever..... time for others who ride a different model to SUCK it Up , and let us all enjoy
Harley did a nice job with that green and black.DougJ
The Dyna is powerful and nimble. If I'm not wrong it has the same engine as the Ultra, but its built to gitty-up and go. I like the quickness and the fact that I did not waste money on things I might not appreciate.
As the man said, I love my Dyna.

I have never, and I mean never in 30 years of riding heard anyone ask if a Dyna was a Sportster. Where do you guys hang out?
Really though I posted a simular thread about people calling my bike a sportster and got 50 bajillion replies. It happens alot. That just tells me that it still looks too stock!

The worst though iswhen people ask if the orange and white ultra classic in my signature is a 50cc scooter.
