plus ive heard a few guys still gettin the 05' setups on there 06's but i think theres a lil bit of harder shifting due to the length of the shifter arm or sum stuff but saltyball got the part number.....so go that route or if your me and can draft and have a dad thats a machinest go that route....i did and they look almost better than the kury set!!a lil more effort than bustin the wallet out but it was worth it, plus there one of a kind like me!!!
sorry bout the link thought they'd embed.....guess not. the shifter ext was spun on the lathe and i just cut the stock shaft and theres set screws under neath that lock the hole thing together, also a lil jb weld for safe measure.
Here is another way to move them forward for your consideration. This was much cheaper. Moves the pegs two inches further away. The brake and shifter stay where they would normally sit.
There's a dude that's about 6' 7" that comes into the Biker Ice House in the country riding a 2000 model Wide glide. He has some big ape bars. On his front pegs it look like he has somehow has the flat bar that goes on the back of the frame for the passenger foot pegs up front and mounted to the bike with footpegs coming off it. If I can see him again. I will look at it closer and ask him about it.
I just put the Kury Swingwings on my forwards. Adds 3" when the wings are open. Really straightens out the legs. ury P/N is 4466.
They are the pegs pictured on saltybulls's post. His are in the closed position.
I have a 34" inseam.
I'm 6'4" and opted not to use the extensions because I just didn't like the appearance. I do have a Tallboy seat though that moves the rider back a bit. However, I'm also very comfortable with my stock 2 up seat with my standard length forwards.
Don't like the look either.
I'm 6'3", 38" inseam. Had the Kury 3" and removed them after this year's trip to Sturgis. Must be getting old but they really hurt my legs after a few hundred miles. I do throw my mids back on for long trips; really helps having somewhere else to move the old gun boats.
I would entertain selling my Kury extensions - PM if interested...
