I don't have the mechanical smarts nor the tools to do an ignition relocate, sooo I'm seriously considering the Guard Dawg keyless ignition.... Just wondering if anyone else is using this set up, if so, any problems with this pricey gadget ?($399.) If anyone found if for less I would appreciate your source. Thanks for any input.
Don't know where you found this for $399 but J&p has it for$159 in their 2008 catalog. Pretty cool little gizmo--about 5 minutes to install. Good luck!
There are 2 versions. The $159 is just like the H-D alarm. all it is is an ignition disable. But you still have to use the key to start it.
The high dollar one is total keyless. You walk up and the ignition turns on by itself. All you do is turn on the kill switch andpress the start button. When you stop, you turn it off by pushing the kill switch and walking away. I have a friend with it. It IS very cool and works great, but at this time, a little too pricy for me.
Here is a group buy link where you can get this for $349.00 with an Extra Dawg Tag which is a 69.00 dollar savings - I bought mine installed and think its one of the coolest devices on my bike. No affiliation just a great product...
Thanks Flavoflav...just the info I was looking for. Appreciate your effort.
