Took it back to HD and replaced it with a kit from JP Cycles that had braided line and 6 connectors that worked perfectly.
Do you have a part number and a picture or two of your J&P kit? Thanks.

Here is the link to the exact kit I bought. Works perfectly.....much more flexible and you can make it to the length you want. Gave the rest to two other friends so they could do the same since there is plenty of hose and 4 left over fittings.

Was the bike sitting on(left side)the jiffy stand?
Thanks for the link. I have the 'nice' braided line with the o-rings, but I can't do my tank lift untill I get a longer hose and I'd prefer to stay with the 'braided look'.
