Maybe the answer is email or calling before you place an order, that way you can sampleCS before you buy.
If E-bay has gotton to be just a arena for middlemen maybe we should use it as a last resort.

I don't know how many times I have seen this and I don't know how many time I've said this!
Stay away from ebay.... It's a world of rip offs!!
You can get parts online new for just as cheap!

I've been ebayin for years and find that not only looking at the positive feedback percentage but the feedback itself is a good indication of who/what you are dealing with. If ebay is informed that they have been padding their own feedback with fake user names and periods (come on, he can't come up with anything better than that?), they would probably ban the person. I usually read several of a person's most recent feedbacks to get a feel of the quality of the items the person has been selling and the quickness to which they ship their items.A popular positive feedback phrase is "fast shipping" or "great to deal with". I look for those before I buy.
Unfortunately, there are a lot of "work from home" promotion businesses out there incenting these people to sell stuff online without having to first pay for or stock the items. That means there is added time between you buying and the item being shipped and you are also adding another moron to the equation.
Ebay is a great site and I only wish I had thought of it. But, it's still a "buyer beware" world.
