I thought I would turn you awesome people in the forum before I take it to a stealership. So while riding, I am getting a more noticeable shake. I can feel it in the handlebars and the footpegs mostly, and it hasn't shook like that in my time of riding it. For instance, while riding and I decide to slow down before a light, while slowing I am getting the shake, and then it slowly goes away. The shake is also there at higher speeds as well. Don't know if it is something I should worry about or something I can probably fix on my own. Thanks for the help!
2. Your Triple Trees are loose....I say this because you are getting the vibration on acceleration and deceleration. Check your fork stem nut for tightness.
Tires are no factor. Have a new back and front recently installed, about 1,000 miles ago. Will look at the triple trees later tonight and see if that's the problem. Thanks for all your help
Jay, there is a proceedure for adjusting your steering head bearings known as the "fall-away" adjustment. If you have or can get access to a HD service manual it is outlined in the maintenence section. Basically you are adjusting the tension on the bearings but there is other things in the proceedure that must be done to do it correcetly, but it can be done withbasic hand tools and skill level.Good luck
Could be a warped rotor with a tight caliper. Caliper may even be at the point of seizing and as the rotor heats up it starts grabing causing the shaking. Ron
Always check the simplest first. I spent an hour checking witing after replacing my handlebars because my brake light didn't work just to find it was the bulb....
