well i have a 2007 street bob and i bought a sundowner. i like the comfort but hate how it looks on my bike i what to get a new seat and it have to be two up for the wife so i was woundering what hd seat looks good and it pretty comfortable please help i done not want three exta seat.
i have been looking at the reach seat and the badlander but the badlander look uncomfortable.
OEM Harley Davidson seats in general are not that comfortable. If you want comfort and good looks I would go with either a Mustang or Corbin seat. I had a Mustang fastback seat on a SuperGlide I used to own, and it was sporty looking, yet the most comfortable seat I have ever ridden on. I could literally ride all day on it without my **** hurtin. I have a Corbin Gunslinger seat on the Wide Glide I presently own, also nice looking seat and fairly comfortable. I don't recommend either of these seats for two up, but those companies make some really nice looking two up seats also. Just Google either Mustang Motorcycle Seats, or Corbin Motorcycle Seats and check out their websites.
Got the sundowner very comfy but the looks suck. Great for two up. Picked up a HD sidekick off ebay for $130 (retail $370) easy to change and is the best solution. When it is just me the sidekick looks good and is pretty comfortable, when it is wife and I the sundowner is on.
Hard to beat a Sundowner for comfort, I just replace my Sundowner with a lePera Daytona plush, it is not as comfortable, and I miss (so does the wife) the Sundowner, in retrospect, I wish I had kept the Sundowner for long rides ( like over 300 miles) but that big pillowy look...[:'(]
As a rule most comfortable touring seats look like s**t on dynas IMHO. Some more than others but all in all it's function over form when it comes to seats.
I have the same question. Dont do a badlander really uncomfortable. Thats what I have right now. Anyone have pictures of a street bob with a seat that dosnt look to bad?My wife hates the badlander. Have to really push her to take a ride with me just because of it and she loves to ride
Like you i have a HD touring seat, and is comfy but appaling to look at. I just ordered a mustang squareback for my FXDC. Will let you know how it goes once installed.
