....it's not a hard job, at all .....only pain was figuring how to keep the lifters up away from the cams after you cut the pushrods.... that stupid binder clip tooly thingy in the service manual wasn't working for me....i don't know if mine was too big or what, but there was nowhere inside the lobe of the lifter that it would grab to....anyway, i figured since i was changing to chrome lifter covers, i'd just pull them and drop them in plastic baggies- labelled
also, careful on over-torquing things....manual will say something like 100-120 INCH pounds...and like a doofus, i would read it as FOOT pounds....luckily i didn't damage anything
and you definitely should invest in the cam/crank tooth tool and the oil pump screws...you don't need the cam base or the guides....just take your time with stuff and stay organized
now, i haven't started the bike yet because i still have to put in the pushrods and throw on a pair of cobra dragsters and then tune it with a PC3, but the CAM job itself wasn't hard at all
well, we'll see....lol..... it has a stage 1 upgrade and the cams are Head Quarters 'Hurricanes' and the tune with the PC3 should put it where i would like it to be ....next year i'm going to do something with the top end ....kevin at HQ says these cams will at least get me started
indeed, that was all the parts, xbox.... cams, pushrods, covers, cam/crank tool, oil pump screws.... and of course, gaskets for cam cover ....and of course, i got the chrome hardware for the cam cover and the chrome lifter covers
