The ones I have are actually polished to a bright mirror finish. Remember...you have to use synthetic brake pads when you go to the polished rotors. There's not alot of money and it doesn't effect braking (not that I can tell anyway). No matter what you use the brake rotors show signs of wear with repeated use as would be expected.
