I'm thinking about a tach on my FXD35. Any other '35 owners out there that have added one? I guess it wuold mount on the handlebar mount. I'd like to see a pix of one before I buy. oregonrider
Now a whole lot of choices in that size. I've not seen the dual gauge in that size yet. If I ever do, I'll seriosuly consider it.
However, my '97 WG went through 3 speedometers in 45K miles. If they were the dual gauge type, it would have been a lot more expensive.
But, I have seen pictures of this gauge set up. Alloy Art A little expensive, but very nice. This is my current favorite option. I've seen it installed, and it really looks nice.
The cleanest install will certainly be the Speedo/Tach combo that Harley makes. Discounts from an online vendor, the price is not too bad. We have consoles on the 35's, might as well use whats there.
I just put a tach on my WG and you can get in the same style as the speedo, but I mounted mine on the bars makes it easier to look at the road and the tach at the same time. The cost was about $200. for the setup I think. HD makes you buy everthing separate, tach, housing, monting bracket. You will need to do some wiring for the three leads though. Not sure on your specific install, but is doable if you have some mechanicjal abiliity and can read and follow the directions for your model.

Those are really nice. A little expensive, but not too bad. But they won't fit the FXD35, Superglide, or Bobber. The speedo on those bikes are smaller than the WG.
