i was on my way home from college today and about half way of a 2 hour ride, i noticed that there was some fluid leaking out of the side on my transmission, i have forward controls and it looks like the fluid was coming out of the plug thing where the stock shifter went. below i have a picture of where i think the fluid is coming from. can i tighten anythign up? or what do you think is wrong, please help or ill have to take it to the stealer.

jordan, pull off the outer Primary cover
and replace the gasket that seals that hole.
It's an easy fix man! Just like mudpuddle said, take your outer primary off & it's just a little round gasket that comes with one sticky side to set it on then put your outer primary back on!
As the others have said there a gasket that seals the hole - easy to replace once you remove the outer primary cover. I would recommend getting a primary gasket (goes between the inner and outer primary covers) and not reusing the one thats there or you may end up with another leak. If you don't have a manual let me know and I'll shoot you off the torque values and tightening sequence of the primary bolts.
you will also need new fluid... be sure before taking those allens off you POP them once with a punch... it will help ensure you dont strip them, or snap a bolt.... that little silver cap is where your mid control peg used to stick out of... while you ahve it all torn apary scuff that sucker up and hit it wiht some flat black heat paint... that way you done have a chrome cap in the middle of your primary! i wish i would have done that when i had mine apart!
i took my primary to napa and got a couple freeze plugs and permantlly plugged both sides , from the inside..
without a shaft going thru the tunnel i beleive the gasket will always eventually slip from between the covers and seep oil out the shifter hole..
jus my 2 cents..
