I would bet he's married and HAS to give the other $500 to his Mrs just like a lot of us.

I couldn't imagine getting 4K back! Wow how do you do that? Unless its EIC, someone overpaid during the year big time!

I wish I had that kind of discipline. Actually my personal property needs the discipline. Ever heard of a smart house? You know, one with all of the electronics and stuff? Well mine is smart in a different way. It knows anytime I get an extra buck or two and makes sure something breaks so I have to spend the money. I got a nice bonus in December and am already now looking at having to replace the washer and dryer and fix some rotting posts on my front porch. I'll manage to spend a few bucks on the bike with rims and all but the rest the house will consume one way or another.

+1 on the gas prices. Now that they know we'll pay 4 bucks a gallon, they'll figure out how to get it there again.

LOL,I hear ya that! Same thing happened with my bonus. Girlfriend was doing wash and left to visit family and wouldn't you know it, the hot water hose busted on the washer! Not only did I have to replace the carpet and the drywall but it burned up about 50 gallons of oil in the process. Thats why this refund is for me!

I'd spend the money for gas to ride to Las Vegas. First I'd gamble, then I'd fornicate, then I'd repeat. I'd save enough for gas for the ride home.
