Default SERT vs PC-V

First, where does the PC-V fit? Hope it's not in the "V" (wishbone) under the seat, 'cuz I just filled that up with a 3 circuit fuse block
http://easternbeaver.com/Main/Produc...3_circuit.html.

I used the unswitched lead for a power socket, 1 switched for the Stebel horn (& yes it does matter which horn wire goes where-just a hum if you get them wrong) and 1 switched lead for an SAE connector.

Sorry, back to my next question. Has anyone used the PC-V and then changed to the SERT? any major difference?

I'm being told that the PC-V can only add fuel, not take it away and that there are some spots where fuel need to be taken away. I find that hard to believe with a 14.7:1 AFR from the factory.

And does the PC-V have the capability to adjust the timing?

I'm still trying to decide which way to go and any input would be helpful.

TIA

14.7:1 will not be the commanded a/f under wide open throttle (WOT). That is closed loop fuel settings. WOT commanded a/f settings will be closer to 12.5:1

Also, for 2009 Harley richened things up a bit. The TC96 is running 14.5 to 14.6 from the factory for 09. (I think they finally wised up and realized this engine just could not handle 14.7 from a rideability standpoint.)

Yeah, I've read that too. 14.7 is ideal in a water cooled engine, but with the heat of these air cooled motors it just too lean.

My PC-V fit right underneath the seat. It took a little bit straightening up the wires, but it fits perfectly under there.

For the PC V
Harley Davidson Units Also Include:
Fuel and Timing control
Rev Xtend
“Warm Up” fuel adjustment (unit reads engine temp and allows fuel/timing adjustments based on it)
Software will display J1850 data from bikes’ stock ECU (this is data such as temp, fuel pulse width, timing advance, spark knock, etc.)
http://www.powercommander.com/powerc...formation.aspx

It looks like a pretty cool setup if you plan to do alot with the engine. I like the expandable modules like autotune and anolog inputs. That is very similar to the tuner I use on my supercharge mustang.

Does anyone know if the PC-V can be used on pre '09 EFI bikes. Really like the auto tune capability without replacing the bikes original ECM.

Power Commander is only currently supporting them for the 09's.

Fuel Moto is supporting them for 07-09 models. I have the PCV on my 08 and the bike runs great.

Good to hear that the PC-V works on an '08, should then work on an '07 I'm guessing. Does this also mean that the Auto Tune accessory for the PC-V would work on the 07/08 bikes. I've got an '07 Dyna with a decent running tune but would love to have that auto tune module.

Fuel Moto's web site shows the PC V and Auto Tune for the '07/08 HD bikes. Great! Now I can try and sell the PCIII that I just bought from them 4 months ago.
