I am currently watching an auction on Ebay. The auction is for an '07 Streetbob fuel tank. I own an '05 Superglide. I would like to replace my Superglide tank with the Streetbob tank and move the speedometer to the tank. Will the Streetbob tank fit the Superglide frame? In other words, are they compatible as far as fit?

I believe it will. From what I have read on here the 05 FXD is the same tank as the 06 and later. That being the case the Street Bob tank should bolt right on.
There was a post on here that listed the 04 and newer tanks being the same. I know the frame has changed but the mounts may be the same. Maybe some one that knows for sure will chime in.
It will fit. I crossed checked part #'s in the past. the 04+ lowrider tank is the same part # as the streetbob one. There is no difference whether you have a carb or FI. So any 04+ bike can use any 04+ tank made for the dyna.
I just did an '05 FXDI to FXDB console - I wrote up a couple of issues I had to deal with. That said, I'd do it again in a heartbeat!
I just finished installing a FXDL tank with FXDB console on my '05 FXDI. I reused all of my tank inner components, and my speedometer and idiot lights. Everything worked out well. The only 'work around' was with the idiot lights. The light assembly for the '05 Super Glide is a little wider than the light bezel and lens for the Street Bob console. Also the lenses are clear. I used green, blue, red and yellow 'Sharpie' permanent markers to color the lenses and used some small gauge wire to just tie my lights to as close as alignment with the lenses as possible. The Neutral light lines up, but the others are a little off center. Also, there's a little 'bleed' of the lights to the adjacent lights, but it works for me.
Just thought I'd let you know it can be done ... feel free to ask if you have any questions. I posted a couple of photos in my album and in another thread if you want to see it.
67185-04 rubber seal 6.72
68789-96A indicator lights 34.46
The foregoing parts are not necessary as the seal is included with the console and the indicator lights won't work if you reuse your speedo (wiring connectors are incompatible).
