MK,
Nice bike....... I have the exact same '04 "twin" as yours, color and all, except for all the "personalization" stuff. Knock on wood, has given me zero grief. (probably shouldn't have said that)
I went in and ordered a night train. On the way out I saw the fatbob and sat on it. I thought about it for a day or two and then asked the dealer to transfer my deposit to the fatbob.
Was dealing on another used model and had to travel for a week out of state. Went back and of course it was sold. All the dealer had at a good price was a 2009 silver Dyna. Didn't really want silver so I had to think about it. Finally decided silver would be OK. When I went to dealer there was a black 2009 sitting next to it they had just received. So now I have a black brand new Dyna.
I had two meetings in Charlotte and had a couple of hours to kill in between. I walked into bike shop that sold used HD's. I was just looking with no intentions on buying anything that day. Then I saw a '08 FXDL, with less than 800 miles on it, and fell in love. I talked the salesman down $1500 and bought it for 12.5. After I bought it I realized it was my girlfriends b-day, so I went out and bought her an IPOD. lol
Been wanting one for awhile now... one week my wife asked if i wanted to go to the shop and look at bikes, i said for what i cant buy one.. she let go and i came home with my bob
Dad had an 82 Superglide he bought new about a month before I was born. Kept it until 2000, and sold it with only 7000 miles on it. I always wanted that bike, but he sold it before I had the funds. As soon as I was in a position to purchase a bike, I bought an 08 Street Bob. Was looking at a Sucker Punch, but glad I got the HD. Now Dad has a Softtail Deluxe and a SE Dyna, and father in law has a Crossbones. Its a family thing now, and the wife loves 'em!
Went to the dealer to buy a softtail custom. I'm 6'1" and the salesman said I should try the Wide Glide. I took them both out for a ride and road home the Wide Glide. Never looked back. My buddy has the softtail custom and after ridding mine, I think he's going to trade up to the Wide Glide... He can't believe the difference.
