I am starting to wonder since i've read about so many mounts failing on the newer bikes if they are using lower quality rubber on them. I have nothing to verify this, or base this on... so its just me wondering out loud. I'm not sure I could tell a difference unless the mounts went really bad. The newer bikes are so much smoother than the older harleys that Im still blown away by how smooth these dynas are.

I think mine are toast – just under 37k miles.

I started noticing a lot of heavy vibration, especially when decelerating and engine speed dropped to about 2k rpm. Took my '07 FXD with 13k miles in for new tires and asked them to check the front mount. Tech called me and said both the front and the rear motor mounts are bad, and the top alignment mount was damaged as well. Have to replace all 3.

Well I'm so fed up with the vibes coming through my right foot peg I've on the verge of deciding my 2011 Street Bob has to go... If I finally do decided to get rid they'll be no more Dynas for me I'm afraid.
The dealership is next to useless..This is crap on a bike that only done 2.3k miles

Talked to the parts guy at the stealer ship last week. He told me there was an upgraded motor mount for my 07 FXDB that he could order me for $160. He said it was made of a different kind of material.
I have 16,000 km on mine and still have a nice gap. I do not need it yet...

By the way, HD parts double in price once they hit the border.
