i have the badlander seat on my bike now and it is just plain uncomfortable on any ride over 30 min. i would like to replace it with something that still looks good and will keep my *** from being sore after 30 min.
i like the look of the street bob solo seat but it says they are for 06 and up. i have also been looking at the mustang solo seats but have no clue which ones will be good for long rides while not being HUGE looking on the bike.
so what seats can i be looking for? any year range that will or will not work?
just look it up in about any seat mag or maker, thats what I would have to do to answer U. they will have your answer..
Or use the feature called SEARCH.....
The fat bob seats will be considerably short in length for your bike.
Your going to have to stick to a seat thats built for a wide glide up until 99, possibly 06 as I don't think they changed the frame when going from the evo to the twincam in 99.
Mustang is a good source, or Harley , or Corbin
is there anywhere where i can read reviews of different seats?
i already read the 16 page thread on here showing different seats but there were not too many reviews.....just pics.
i really like the look of the tripper seat but i dont wanna spend $300 for another uncomfortable seat!
Well if you don't care about looks and want a really comfortable seat, The Sundowner will let you ride 300 miles and still be able to feel your butt. It is butt ugly but does grow on you.
QS74 I tried the the Daytripper at the Mustang tent in Myrtle Beach a couple of years ago when they first came out. It was very comfortable but had little back support. Hope that may help. It is very similar to the H-D Stripper seat but more comfortable on the butt.
