If you don't have lift, it will be easier if you have a friend.

Depending on the year of the bike, the upper "nut" is 35-40ft/lb. The upper "bolt" 75-80.

Lower bolt(s) is 35-40ft/lbs

I swapped stocks to air to stocks to air to stocks. The last time I used a floor Jack and it was a breeze. The other times I used the jiffy stand and it was a biatch. Like Joe said, stretch really good if you use the jiffy and muscle.

lower bolt 30-40 ft-lbs upper 75-85 ft-lbs or both upper and lower bots at 30-40 ft-lbs? Both are said in this thread, which is right for 2009 fat bob?

I just did the exact same shock swap on my 08 fat bob....according to what I was able to find out if the top bolt is an Acorn then it's 30-40lbs....if it's not an acorn then it's 75-85lbs. I am pretty sure all of the Fat bobs have the acorn...at least on the 08's.
