Default Brake light?

I just noticed my brake light is always on. What's the first thing I should check? I take it that's a pressure switch on the rear brake master cylinder? Is there a trick to getting that connector off? I tried to pull with my fingers but it didn't come off.

this is a stupid question but are you sure its your brake light and not the running lights..?
if not then unhook the front to see if it turns off..and then do the same to the rear to narrow it down..

I had the same problem when I installed Kuryakyn Trigger levers. It seems af if the "finger" on the brake lever that depresses the switch inside the housing is not quite in the right position. I mixed up a little JB Weld epoxy and put a little dab on the tip of the "finger" where it contacts the switch when the lever is released. Worked good!

there is a switch in the front brake handle that gets out of place if you take your brake handle off for any reason... i'd check there first.

Additionally, you didn't do any replacement back there did you? I put on the Kuryakyn low profile light - and my brake light was always on; hitting the brake lever I saw the other filament light up. The socket wires were reveresed for some weird reason, so I had to switch them around.

Ha, I didn't know there was a switch in the front brake handle. I had just changed the handle bars and put new grips on. That was it. Thanks for the help guys.
