If I were a betting man I would say just find the wires that go to the switch and wire them together.

Although I don't think it's a real good idea to by pass the clutch SAFETY switch... the cleanest way to do this would be to:

1) Locate & disconnect the left hand control wiring plug from under the tank, which is stuffed down the back bone.
2) On the male side of the plug (hand control side) remove pin #7-the red/black wire and pin #8-the black wire.
3) Solder a jumper wire to the but end of the pins.
4) Re-insert the pins into the plug and re-assemble the plug.
5) Put the trans into 1st, pull the clutch & hit the starter...

Adding a jumper like this would allow an easy way to restore the clutch SAFETY switch.

Hi Mud, I pinched those wires on my Bob as I was changing grips in a hurry. I
looked for hours trying to find out what I had done. The key light would come
on and stay on. Also, the bike wouldn't start unless it was in neutral. I finally
traced it down to the wires to the clutch switch where I had pinched them. I
checked the manual and the wires are only a Black and a Black/Red stripe. I
believe the black is a ground and the one with the Red stripe goes into a
connector.
If you think about how the clutch switch works, when the lever is engaged, there
is either contact or not, that is, the plunger pushed in and the switch makes contact
or breaks contact. This was my dilemma, I just wired it back and left it. I do not
think it would hurt to disconnect it, but I never did.

Thanks, So I cant start in Neutral anymore? Guess I never got the point of the switch. But if im jumping it, isnt it just like the clutch is engaged? I always start in neutral, should still be able to?

If the switch is not activated by the clutch lever, the bike will only start in neutral. If you jump the switch either in the frame behind the neck or in the switch housing itself, the bike will start anytime (in gear out of gear or with or without the clutch pulled in)
