The bars on the 07 SB I just bought seem loose. I can easily pull back and move the grips maybe 1/2" or so. Looks like the risers are wobbling at their base.
Anyone know what the spec for torquing the 3/4" nut on the bottom of the riser (below the top tree) is?

One of my risers was actually stripped near the top of the threads . I removed the risers , re tapped to threads and installed polyurethane bushings . 100% better .

Thanks for the spec, Joe. And the heads up on bushings. Thanks for the link, Rider - I'll definitely check that out.
Jayson, I did the same thing on the 82 Shovel this ride replaced re: poly bushings. I agree - much better. Thanks.
My 07 manual says 30-40 ft-lbs. Youre problem may be the crappy rubber bushings though. I replaced mine in the first year.
Joe, did you replace your bushings with the same rubber ones or were you able to find poly bushings? The poly in the HD catalog are for almost everything EXCEPT the Street Bob. Does anyone else make them for the SB?
